Easy Mashed Potatoes Recipe (Beginner Friendly)

Easy Mashed Potatoes Recipe (Beginner Friendly)   Ingredients: 3 to 4 lbs of potatoes (appx 10 potatoes) 1/2 cup of butter (usually 1 stick) (room temperature) 1 tsp salt 1 tsp black pepper 1 cup heavy cream (warmed) sprinkle of parsley (for topping) Instructions: Wash, scrub, and clean your potatoes Peel the potatoes skin Cut them all into small, equal pieces to cook evenly and quickly As you are cutting, place the pieces into cold water to prevent from browning When ready to cook, put cold water and some salt into a pot and place heat on high, cook until fork tender (roughly 20 minutes) Drain potatoes into a strainer/colander Once drained, *make sure the heat is off* place the drained potatoes into the same pot for 5 minutes to drain any excess liquids After that, start mashing the potatoes Add in the butter little by little and continue mashing Add in the half and half (or milk) and continue mashing Then add in your seasoning, 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp black pepper, and continue mashing

 Macaroni and Cheese (Beginner Friendly) Ingredients for cheese sauce: 1/2 cup unsalted butter (usually one stick) 1/2 cup all purpose flour 1 tsp salt 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp nutmeg 1 tsp paprika 1/2 tsp turmeric 3 cups half and half (or substitute with milk for thinner cheese sauce) 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese 8 ounces mozzarella cheese Ingredients for Macaroni: 1 lb of elbow macaroni (usually one box) water (to boil) a little bit of oil 1 tbsp salt Instructions for Macaroni: Fill a pot half way (or ⅔ of the way) up with tap water and turn heat to HIGH Add a tsp. of olive oil (to prevent pasta from sticking to each other), and add in salt to taste and bring the salt water to a boil Once the salt water comes to a boil, add in the elbow macaroni and stir it around (stir the pasta every few minutes or so) Cook macaroni to your preference (we cooked it for about 15-ish minutes until it became al-dente) Once pasta is done cooking, drain the water in a strainer Once all the water is re

 Simple Chicken Burger Patty Recipe Ingredients: 4 lb chicken 3 garlic cloves 1 tsp salt (or to taste) 2 tsp black pepper 1 tsp garlic powder 2 tsp masala curry Instructions: Cut up 1 lb of chicken into slices Mince meat (we used the kitchen aid with the food grinder attachment) Also mince 3 garlic cloves into the minced chicken Into the minced chicken, add in 1 tsp salt, 2 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp garlic powder, and 2 tsp masala curry Mix everything in Once all the ingredients are mixed in, form into several circular shapes On your working area, put down a piece of wax paper, then form the circular minced meat into a patty shape Once that's all done, grill the chicken patties for a few minutes (5 to 10 min) on each side on 350 degrees heat Dress the chicken burger patty to your liking and enjoy! fyi: 1 lb of chicken can make 3 chicken patties, we used 4 lbs of chicken to make a total of 12 chicken burger patties To view video of this recipe, please click on links below.  Garahamudo Sahali (Kalamudo) Ingredients for Meat Broth: 1 onion 4 to 5 garlic cloves 2 chicken stock cubes 3 cups of water 1 lb of beef meat 2 tbsp of canned puréed tomato 6 to 7 tomatoes 2 chili peppers 3 to 4 cloves of garlic cloves 5 cups of water Ingredients for Garahamudo: 8 cups of flour 1 tbsp sugar 1 tsp salt 1 tsp oil *Heads up, we're cooking for a lot of people.  Basto iyo Sugo Fuduud oo Macaan - Easy, Delicious Homemade Pasta Sauce Ingredients for Pasta Sauce (Sugoo) 1 tbsp cooking oil 1/4 chopped onion minced meat 2 tbsp of canned puréed tomatoes 12 to 15 tomatoes salt to taste (we used 1 tbsp) Ingredients for Pasta: 1 to 2 box(es) of pasta of your choice (we choice fettuccine today, we usually use spaghetti) water (to boil) a little bit of oil 1 tbsp salt *Heads up, we're cooking for a lot of people. If you want, you can cut the recipe in half to make less* Instuctions for Pasta Sauce (Sugo) In a blender add in, 12-15 cut tomatoes, 3-4 garlic cloves, ½ cup of water, and blend until it’ s a liquid consistency. In a large pot, heat up 1 tbsp olive oil in MED-HIGH. Then add in ¼ of a chopped onion into the heated oil, cook until it is translucent. Once, the onion is translucent, reduce the heat to MED-LOW, and add in the minced meat. Mix around and cook until all sides are browned. Browning the minced meat should take about 5-10 minutes
