 How to Make Chicken Sambusa/Samosa | Step by Step for Beginners | Ramadan Food



Ingredients for Sambusa Filling:

  • 5 lbs of minced meat 
  • 2 maggie cubes 
  • 15 chili peppers 
  • 6 garlic cloves 
  • 1 tbsp xawaji 
  • 2 tbsp tandoori masala 
  • 1 tbsp black pepper 
  • 1 tsp of grounded (cayenne) red pepper 
  • 3 whole onions (finely chopped)
Ingredients for Glue:
  • 1 cup flour 
  • 1 cup water

Instructions:

  • Place  a pot on medium heat and add in 5 lbs of minced chicken
  • Occasionally break down the minced meat pieces 
  • Cook until browned on all sides and dry
  • Add in 2 maggi cubes and mix well
  • Wash and cut 15 chili peppers, 6 garlic cloves, and 2 onions into small pieces
  • Then individually place them into a food processor to be finely chopped
  • Once the meat is cooked all the way, add the finely chopped chili peppers and finely chopped garlic cloves into it and mix well
  • Then add in 1 tbsp xawaji, 2 tbsp tandoori masala, 1 tbsp black pepper, and 1 tsp grounded (cayenne) red pepper and mix well
  • Then add in the finely chopped onions and mix well
  • Then you can set it aside once cooked and ingredients are all incorporate well
  • To make the glue, mix 1 cup flour with 1 cup water and stir until you get a thick glue-like pasty consistency
  • When the meat is cooled, wrap the sambusa fillings into the khaki/pastry sheets and use the glue to keep it together
  • Once ready to cook, deep fry until golden brown on all sides
  • Enjoy!

 anchari (traditional barawa hot sauce recipe) Ingredients: 10 tomatoes  1 onion   5 garlic cloves  20 chili peppers  1 tsp red chili pepper   1 tsp black pepper  a few tbsp oil for cooking  1/4 of an onion  1 tbsp curry powder   2 tbsp purée tomatoes  tamarind (and water to soak it in)  1 cup mango  1 tsp salt Instructions: Chop up 10 tomatoes and blend it in a blender Pour blended tomatoes in a separate bowl and set it aside for now In a blender, add in 1 whole onion, 5 garlic cloves, and 20 chili peppers, 1 tsp of red chili pepper, and 1 tsp black pepper, and blend and set aside for now In a pot, heat up a few tbsp of oil Finely chop up 1/4 of an onion and add it into the pot with heated oil, stir, and cook until golden brown Add in 1 tbsp of curry and continue stirring Then add in 2 tbsp of tomato puree and continue to stir Then add in the blended chili pepper, garlic, and onion mixture Give it a stir and let it boil for a few minutes, BE CAREFUL DON'T BURN YOURSELF Then add in
