How to Make Chicken Sambusa/Samosa | Step by Step for Beginners | Ramadan Food
Ingredients for Sambusa Filling:
- 5 lbs of minced meat
- 2 maggie cubes
- 15 chili peppers
- 6 garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp xawaji
- 2 tbsp tandoori masala
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tsp of grounded (cayenne) red pepper
- 3 whole onions (finely chopped)
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup water
Instructions:
- Place a pot on medium heat and add in 5 lbs of minced chicken
- Occasionally break down the minced meat pieces
- Cook until browned on all sides and dry
- Add in 2 maggi cubes and mix well
- Wash and cut 15 chili peppers, 6 garlic cloves, and 2 onions into small pieces
- Then individually place them into a food processor to be finely chopped
- Once the meat is cooked all the way, add the finely chopped chili peppers and finely chopped garlic cloves into it and mix well
- Then add in 1 tbsp xawaji, 2 tbsp tandoori masala, 1 tbsp black pepper, and 1 tsp grounded (cayenne) red pepper and mix well
- Then add in the finely chopped onions and mix well
- Then you can set it aside once cooked and ingredients are all incorporate well
- To make the glue, mix 1 cup flour with 1 cup water and stir until you get a thick glue-like pasty consistency
- When the meat is cooled, wrap the sambusa fillings into the khaki/pastry sheets and use the glue to keep it together
- Once ready to cook, deep fry until golden brown on all sides
