 How to Make Sambusa Khaki (Fooliyo Sambuska) Samosa Pastry Sheets

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups of flour 
  • 1 tbsp sugar 
  • 2 tbsp oil 
  • 3 cups water (add in one at a time)


Instructions:

  • Sift 6 cups of flour into a large bowl, then add 1 tbsp sugar, and 2 tbsp oil
  • Then mix dry ingredients
  • Then add a total of 3 cups of water, ONE BY ONE, and continue to mix until dough is formed
  • Flour your working area
  • Shape the dough into a long, rectangular shape then cut into a few small pieces
  • Shape each piece of dough into a flat, circular shape
  • Then with a rolling pin, roll out the dough into a flat circular shape
  • Then add some oil on top and a little bit of flour on each dough piece and stack a total of 5 together and roll out again together evenly 
  • Cut stack into 4 pieces
  • On medium heat, place a stack onto a pan and fry for a few minutes on each side
  • Allow to cool, and then separate the stack into singular pieces
  • Then enjoy and start wrapping your sambusas with these homemade khaki/pastry sheets!

Easiest Homemade Pizza Dough Recipe

 Easiest Homemade Pizza Dough Recipe Ingre dients: 2 1/2 cups flour 1/3 cup sugar 1 tbsp yeast 1 cups of water Pizza sauce Pizza blend cheese Mozzarella cheese Instructions: In a bowl, add in flour, sugar, and yeast and mix well. Then add in the water and mix or knead until a dough forms. Cover the dough and allow to rise until it doubles in size, approximately 1 hour. Flour you working area. Cut dough into two pieces and roll out dough. Oil/grease your pizza pan and place the pizza dough on it. Place pizza dough into oven for 2-3 minutes or until it starts to rise slightly. Then remove pizza dough from oven and put your sauce of choice (we used red pizza sauce). Then place your cheese (mozzarella and pizza blend is what we used) & toppings of yout choice.  Somali Chicken Stew (Maraq Digag) Ingredients: 1 lb of chicken 1 tsp masala powder 3 grated garlic cloves 1 tsp xawaji 1 tsp chicken tandoori 1 tsp black pepper 1 tsp all purpose seasoning 1 cup buttermilk 1/4 of an onion 2 cups water 1 tbsp flour 1/2 cup coconut milk some slices of bell pepper Instructions: Cut 1 lb of chicken into cubes Place chicken in a bowl Put all the spices on top 1 tsp each: masala powder, garlic cloves, xawaji, chicken tandoori, black pepper, all purpose seasoning, and 1 cup buttermilk Once you've given it a good mix and incorporated all the ingredients, let it marinate for at least 30 minutes Heat up some oil in a pot and saute 1/4 of an onion until transluscent Put the chicken marinade into the pot and stir for a few minutes Then add 2 cups of water, cover pot, and allow to cook on medium heat for 20-25 minutes Then in a cup or bowl, add in 1 tbsp of flour and 1/2 cup of coconut oil, mix and place into chicken stew Towards the end of the cooking process...
