 Cambulo Galay Fuduud | Mangi


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup whole corn grits
  • 2 cups red chori
  • water (about 10 to 12 cups to cook with)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • sesame oil and sugar to enjoy with


Instructions:

  • Place 1 cup of whole corn grits in a bowl
  • Wash and clean the whole corn grits
  • Place the rinsed corn grits into a pot, add 5 cups of water, and place on medium heat
  • Bring it to a boil and stir
  • Drain into colander
  • Then place the dry corn grits back into the same pot and add 5 cups of water
  • In a seperate bowl, add 2 cups of red chori into a bowl, wash, and rinse
  • Then place dried red chori into the same pot with he whole corn grits
  • Bring it to a boil for 15 minutes, stir occasionally, then reduce heat to a simmer for about 45 minutes
  • Towards the end of the cooking process, add 1/2 tsp salt, and stir
  • Plate it, drizzle with some sesame oil and sugar, and enjoy!
