Ingredients:
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 c half and half
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- Pinch of salt
- 6 slices bread
- Butter for cooking
- Toppings: powdered sugar, syrup, strawberries
Instructions:
- In a bowl, crack 4 eggs and whisk
- Add 1/2 cup of half and half and mix
- In a small bowl, add in 1 tsp cinnamon, 2 tbsp sugar, 1 tsp vanillas, 1/4 tsp nutmeg, a pinch of salt, and mix it all well - then place the dry spices into the egg mixture and whisk
- Heat up 1 tsp of butter
- Dip bread in egg mixture for 10 seconds on each side
- Then place bread into pan and cook each side for a few minutes until golden brown
- Wipe the butter away to prevent burning
- Add in a new 1 tsp of butter, continue cooking the french toasts until complete
- Cut cooked french toasts in half into triangular shapes or eat as is
- Top with your favorite toppings, we used a little bit of powdered sugar, syrup, and strawberries
- Enjoy!
