how to make waffles (quick & easy) | crispy outside, fluffy inside
Ingredients:
- 2 cups flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tsp vanilla
- Toppings: powdered sugar, butter, syrup, chocolate chips
Instructions:
- To a bowl, add in all the dry ingredients (2 cups flour, 4 tsp baking powder, 1/4 cup sugar, 1/2 tsp salt) and mix.
- In a smaller bowl, separate 2 egg whites and egg yolks.
- Whisk the egg whites til stiff peak and set aside for now.
- Beat the egg yolks, then add in 1/4 cup of room temp butter and mix.
- To the egg/butter bowl, add in the rest of your wet ingredients (2 cups milk and 2 tsp vanilla) and mix.
- Add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently mix and incorporate well.
- Then add in the egg whites and gently mix in well.
- Heat up the waffle maker and spray the top and bottom with cooking oil spray.
- Once the waffle maker is ready, add in about 1/2 cup (or more or less depending on your waffle maker size) of the batter to the center, close and allow to cook for about 6 to 7 minutes. When it's steaming, it's stool cooking. As the steam dissipates, it almost done cooking.
- Continue until complete.
- Add your favorite toppings (we added butter, syrup, and chocolate chips) and enjoy!
